Funds From Other Organizations

Citizens throughout America stepped forward and donated funds to many relief efforts in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America. Scholarship funds were among those established.

Families of Freedom and its designated scholarship funds provide one national source of postsecondary scholarship information for victims’ dependents. Other scholarships have been established, both nationally and locally, in memory of those who were lost.

The scholarships listed in the College Funds and Outside Funds sections provide a brief description of the fund and contact information.

 

 

“The Families of Freedom Scholarship has been a tremendous benefit to me and my brother in pursuing our college degrees,” said Evan Kanter of Edison, N.J., a Families of Freedom Scholarship recipient. “The Fund has allowed us the ability to focus on the parts of life that are most important to us. The first year after 9/11 was very hard to take, but the scholarship has relieved some of the financial burden from my mother, brother and me.” Read more
